List your favourites, by genre or individual games.
I tend to go in for the Empire Building strategy type.
Current favourites are: -Civilisation III (not as good as Civ II, but the new add-on will hopefully compensate for that) -Alpha Centurai: Alien Crossfire -Europa Universalis I & II

I have many games I would consider 'favorites', but more recently, I'd say the Bioware/Black Isle line of RPGs is most excellent.

EXCELLENT taste I am also good at Shogun Total War, Age of Empires, Age of Kings, Counterstrike and Medal of Honour.

EU (I&II) represents one of the best games in recent times in my humble opinion. Its nice to see small relativly new companies like Paradox doing their own thing, lets hope they don't get swallowed up by bland repetative giants like EA and so on.

I never could play EU because for some reason my mouse moved slow, and no version of directX, no driver, no version of Windows helped solve that

How much memory do you have? I had that exact same mouse slowness when i tried to play EUII, it was down to not enough memory i figured.

I have 512MB RAM and 64MB DDR RAM on my graphics board. I doubt memory is an issue there.

- Europea Universalis I&II - and I'm not surprised it's most of us' favorite game - Civ III - Monkey Island series (1 to 4) - Broken Sword - Discworld Noir (I love Terry Pratchett) - Baldur's Gate I and II - Icewind Dale I (the second one was really routine) - Heroes of Might and Magic (all 4 of them. Great for a little light play) - Caesar and Zeus (they're rather similar) - Settlers and most other adventure and strategy games But above all Gabriel Knight I, II and especially III I get down on my knees and bow to Jane Jensen, the lady who wrote the series: thank you, thank you and thank you (one for each) I cannot think of a more perfect character than, no, not Gabriel Knight, Grace Nakimura of course. Also, back from the Amiga days, Pirates was my favorite and I can safely say that it still is. And Patrician is really fun for the merchant in you. (okay someone stop me now)

Icewind Dale I (the second one was really routine) Eh? I actually liked the second one more...it expanded on and recapped the first one nicely, and anyway D&D 3E kicks ass.

I started not liking it down where we encounter the priesstesses, it was too "finish level, find door, go down; repeat" for my taste. I'm more into roleplaying. Baldur's Gate 2 was great though. D&D 3rd Ed rules are definitely so much better!

I started not liking it down where we encounter the priesstesses, it was too "finish level, find door, go down; repeat" for my taste. Yeah, that was one of the more hack-n-slashy areas. Still, I don't think Icewind Dale I was any better in that respect... Anyway, if you like 3E, get Neverwinter Nights.
