European Negroid Mongoloid do wide faces adapt in response to harsh environments - as the negroid and mongoloid bone structure is quite...well stretched out in comparison to europids

That Negroid woman has a face like many SE Asians. Plus she looks like the rapper 50 cents.

The Northern European you're using as an example of the Caucasoid race isn't very representative. Nordics have long, thin skulls--and are like 5% of the white race. They're not representative at all. You mention wide faces---Alpinids have round, open countenances and far outnumber Nordics. Look at Catherine Zeta Jones's wide, cat-like face. You need to have the skull of a more representative Caucasoid group--not some thin-headed blonde. Seriously: How many Europeans even remain blonde into adulthood? --Most are bottle-blondes, once you get outside of Scandinavia. And, even there, Finland is the only country on Earth with a majority-blonde population. So it's hilarious that you're using such a rare phenotype as if its the "typical" of the entire race. (The statistical equivalent is like holding out Japan's "Ainu" as the typical Mongoloid, or the Pygmies as the typical negroid.)

In fact the negroid looks more Capoid.

Paleo-Sardinians types found in parts of Italy have the same thing ,so do the Alpine's and Upper Paleolithic's.
So probably yes regarding the Caucasoid's,as their a wide variety o types designed for specialties and adaption. Its a very archaic trait, used to fight against the elements such as wind & frost ,hot and cold climates, rough terrain ect.
My cheek bone structure gives most Mongoloids a run for their money....

To answe gelaye's question, absolutely not. Think the people dwelling in the deserts of the Middle East, the Sahara and the Horn of Africa...they have some of the narrowest heads out there. on the other hand, wider faces do not seem to be an adaptation to either harsh or suitable climates, because both your Central African Jungle pygmy and your Arctic Innuit (eskimo) will share wider heads, despite the very different environments they adapted to
