When you say 5% do you mean just pure Whites or do you also include overwhelmingly White as well.

Including both, yes. And I didn't say 5%, I said closer to it.

Robert Rodriquez wasn't exactly born into the middle class. Also, look at his cousin, Danny Tejo.... very Mestizo looking.

Yeah, Robert Rodriguez's cousin is a total Aztec. He doesn't even look mestizo. He has that huge Aztec head that looks like it was carved clumsily out of wood. A real cigar-store Indian. But just because Robert Rodriguez has an Aztec cousin doesn't imply that he's somehow affected. By illustration, George W. Bush's brother Jeb married a Central American woman. So the president's Waspish daughters have mestizo cousins. And they're America's wealthy blue-blood class. So don't trot out Robert Rodriguez's cousin as if that somehow implies that he's socially the equivalent of an Aztec. That's nonsense. Someone as white as he is in Mexico would be treated radically different than someone with his cousin's looks. And that's sadly the truth.

Interesting, though it's still entirely possible that Tejo's other side of his family has Amerindian ancestry whereas Rodriguez is entirely European. If they were siblings then I'd really be shocked . Still, it's entirely possible that Rodriguez has some Amerindian ancestry, though if you ask me it doesn't show at all. He looks very much like a Spaniard.

True, that's possible. But I don't believe his family was even middle class. He's an interesting man but I haven't gotten around to his biography. His siblings were in his short flm "Bedhead," which I've never seen and occasionally pop up in his other films. I think "Bedhead" is a part of the "special fetaures" on the DVD of one his last films. Perhaps someone viewing this thread has the DVD and can give us a description of his siblings? I agree... he does look like a Spaniard. I just wanted to throw everyone a curve ball. Now you know why Trejo is in almost every Rodriquez flick He's actually not bad actor with bit parts.

I think he has a somewhat similar look to Tejo. In this pic they both look quite similar.

Robert Rodriguez is part Amerindian, but he doesn't show it. It sure would come out in DNA testing.

Perhaps a better example of a truly white Mexican would be el presidente, Irish-Spanish Vicente Fox.

I have seen in Mexican families were there is siblings were some look very Iberian with green eyes or Hazel eyes and the rest of the siblings look "average mestizo" and another looks very Amerindian.
