LOL, yeah I do hear the resemblence to Amharic music...funny a friend of mine once heard me play a Somali song and thought it sounded quite Oriental, almost Chinese.

yeah the instruments and the chords being used sound really oriental! ive done some reasearch and it turns out that ethiopian/somali music both use the five toned pentatonic scale, which is the same used in Japan. random huh?
