The word negro and its plural are quite acceptable to me. Changing negro or its plural to negroid seems unusual. What is offensive about negro? It is not the N word. And some consistency is needed. White for caucasoids should be equally banned. The USA practice of using African American or black American for someone of some negroid African origins is not apt either. It excludes Africans who are not negroid as being Africans. Black is too general as lots of people are black but not negroid.

Language is fluid and words and their usage change. I am old enough to remember when the word "Negro" was most often used for "Black," also "colored people." (You can tell there are a few grey hairs on my head ) Now, those words sound archaic and many find them offensive. "Negroid" is an anthropological term, as is "Caucasoid." "Negro" means "Black" in Spanish.
