I saw the show on Columbus as well and it did say that Diego was one of Columbus' sons, which is why they tested his DNA as well. Remember history is exactly what it sounds like "his story" and there are many variations. There is a lot of history I wont get into but the Catalan theory seems to hold more truth. If I pull out facts on why I will be typing forever.

I read many books on the possible connection between Columbus and Georges le Grec, but in none i found a study about Georges le Grec possession's in France. I think it would be interesting after all to have a study of the two castles in France which were the belonging of Georges le Grec ( Georges Paléologue de Bissipat ). The twice are built with red bricks with many signs on the façade with black bricks. The first one the Castle of Hannaches is unknown, it is located by Beauvais on the road of Honfleur. ( it is a 15 century construction). The second one is Troissereux also by Beauvais. ( it is a construction of the 15 and mid 16 century ) in that castle one can also see a very old clock of the XV century. On Troissereux castle you have a sign which is a combination of the M A X S and Y? Is there a link with Columbus ? I do not find any study about that signs.
