it would be more credible to talk about a presence of Celts in Carthage, Celts in Egypt sounds very dubious. if you read what is written you would know he uses direct quotes written druing the same time period.its not dubious its a fact it comes straight from the 4th king of egypts mouth.

I have never read Cunliffe. I nearly stuck a T in his name. I find CrimsonGuard's criticism of Cunliffe as showing the man despite his qualifications in Archaeology and Anthropology, I always thought of those as wanks anyway, has issues and biases. I believe CrimsonGuard, he has more credibility than you and your issues and biases. I would love to see those ancient writings and have them translated by experts in ancient languages and scripts. I doubt Cunliffe understands Egyptian. Some Pharoah using words like Gauls and Thracians seems very peculiar. The Egyptians were an ignorant bunch. They didn't know much about Africa and no-one knows what the Hyksos looked like or what language they spoke despite being in Egypt for a while as conquerors. Now you want me to believe that they knew what Celts and Thracians were. The Egyptians managed to paint representations of West Asians, Libyans, Nubians but missed out on the Celts and Thracians. In short you don't have any credibility and neither does Cunliffe. Too bad, there is a Marcus Cunliffe who is quite good and wrote an interesting biography of Washington. I guess this Barry is the runt of the Cunliffes.
