What was the racial type of pre-historic UGRIANS ?
What was the racial type of Indo-Europeans, Basques, Iberians, and other influential pre-historic groups in their very beginnings?
I've searched around for some definitive sources on this subject, but I haven't found anything thorough.

I remember seeing a book that had a very informative graph on Finno-Ugric ethnogenesis. I'll hopefully track it down in the next few days.

What was the racial type of Indo-Europeans, Basques, Iberians, and other influential pre-historic groups in their very beginnings? When are the Basques first noticed as a separate ethnic group? I think that the Basques are just the Iberian remnants, the ones that weren't absorbed in the Celtiberians in the beginning, and then Romanized. As for the racial type of the Indo-Europeans, that pretty much depends on which homeland solution you accept. My personal opinion is that the PIE homeland was in the Balkans. www.geocities.com/dienekesp2/indoeuropean/index.htmlIf that turns out to be correct, then the PIEs would be a blend of Classic Mediterranoids with Upper Paleolithic Basic Whites, including a minority of brachycephalics of both generalized Alpinoid and Dinaroid type. Genetically, they would be a blend of Neolithic immigrants with the Mesolithic/Upper Paleolithic population of Southeast Europe.

Perhaps the key to establishing the PIE original settlements would be solved if we knew the origins of Ugrian, Altaic etc. languages.
If we have the other pieces, maybe the IE piece would fit in somewhere.
