Planet Asia/Tate feels free to use racial epithets like "peckerwood" and "whitey". Is that okay with the mods? Anyone using the word, "nigger", would be rightfully banned. Does Tate get a break because he's slow, or is this just another case of PC BS?

Racial insults as a rule are not OK. In some cases, it´s difficult to see if some epithets are just banter or downright insult. OTH, please note that most mods are not American. For instance, I didn´t know "whitey" was insulting, nor had I ever heard "peckerwood". Are "honkey" or "cracker" as insulting as "nigger"? I wouldn´t know.  On a personal note, I may have greater toleration for insults and profane language, being Spanish. It´s part of my culture.  |

I don't use racial epithets IRL, so I certainly have no intention of using them here, even when provoked. I had some empathy for you and some of your views, so it's a shame that you decided to go on the attack. I thought that you raised some important points about positive contributions by Black people throughout history. I'm still sympathetic to the message. I've lost my sympathy for the messenger. No one else would use or recognise these terms. As I'm the only poster from Scotland, they won't have the same impact. As sad as it is, that what I expect out of you and know you to be no different when using those terms, so to me it would be no shock.
