Technical modifications?

The forum is good for a free forum, but I am wondering if technical modifications can take place to make it more user-friendly. For example, I would prefer it if the last post in a category would be easier to access without so many clicks -- like, say, from the home page.

Not brilliant though. Otherwise you want something the 'Active Topics' feature on Snitz forums, don't think Proboards has that though.
