For this painting below, The Enigma of William Tell, Dali was almost expelled from the Surrealist movement. The mustache and goatee are those of Lenin, which Dali subtly added into his work. Dali was a pretty sharp critic of leftism, which got him into trouble on numerous occasions.

I've seen that painting "live", it hangs at the Moderna Muséet here in Stockholm(at least it did a few years ago). Quite speciell picture..

By the way, here's a quite "nice" parody of Stalin by Komar & Melamid: The whole impression is that of the Baroque age paitings.
