Islands with nice holiday homes, running into freezing water, good spoken English, lots of pine trees, vodka, a questionable cuisine of herrings, herrings herrings, dill weed, Volvos, nice glass, depressed people, Stockholm a beautiful town and a type of delicious crayfish.
Sweden is expensive, the people are not friendly by Australian standards and they are not attractive for Northwesterners. I prefer English types to the Swedes anyday. Sexually they are definitely overrated. I prefer Italy myself.

Not "libertinage" - Communism. As I said earlier, Sweden is a Marxist-Leninist country that is just afraid to tell the world what we are, because the EU might kick us out and so on, and then we will lose all money that they give us. Hallstatt Nordics? The onlye Swedes I see is Baltid. It's quite rare to see a Hallstatt in Stockholm, everyone you see except immigrants is Baltid or "Baltizied" Hallsatts. Sucide: True. Due to the Marxist-Leninist regime, and other stuff, many people kill themselfs. Porn? hehe.. njah.. partly true, perhaps.. About the Regime: Sweden has been ruled de facto by Bolsheviks sice 1915. And yes, Sweden is expenice due to the fact that we are a poor country, and Swedish people are not nice. Hope you know some more

Sweden is a constitutional monarchy governed by people called Social Democrats, If you want to know what marxist-leninism is then pay a visit to Vietnam or Cuba. The Swedes are an intelligent and resourseful people, they have to be because of their harsh climate and environment. I haven't been to Sweden so I can't verify how friendly or not the locals are but the Swedes I have met in Australia were Ok. The country of Sweden is not a tourist resort, it's a country of real people, some are friendly others not. I don't think there is a country in Europe that has more myths and stereotypes associated with it. Sweden exports 47% of it's GDP much of that is made up of wood pulp, Iron Ore and high technology products. Swedish steel is considered the best in the world. Not only do they have Volvo, SAAB and IKEA, they also have a substantial aviation and nuclear power industry. Few countries can compare economically with Sweden. They have a high suicide rate which is not unusual for a wealthy developed country, so does Australia and Japan infact Finland's suicide rate is higher. It's a popular destination because it's well known for it's peace, tranquility and beauty, It's really difficult to stomach anyone who lives in Sweden bad mouthing the country. I mean, there are far worse countries you could have found yourself in.

So can you out it as well, but most natives here calls the goverment "Communists", and that's excatly what they are.
And we don't have that harsh climate really..
Swedes are known for being unpleasant, and I know it as well. Swedes don't accept diffrences, a thing that me, the Georgian, often gets clear to me. When I go out in my "winter dress", usjanka(a Russian fur hat), black coat, black trousers and boots, people always laught at me and think I'm crazy, but I'm just dressing that kind of style my father had, the Georgian.... Swedes have a hard time accepting diffrences.

I'm not sure how racist or bigoted Swedes are but I don't think that there is a nation in the world that doesn't have narrow minded or ignorant people. If Sweden was being run by ultra-nationalists I think they would do a little more than just laugh at you.

No, not that. We are not runned by Stalinists(ultra-nationalist Communists), but Communists, and we are not ultra-natioalist. Swedes is a ignorant and narrows minded people(for the most), and they laught at me due to the fact that I'm not like them.

I meant that if intsead of socialists, Sweden was run by extremists either commie or fascist who didn't like foreigners then you would be lucky if all they do is laugh at you. I'm sure there's probably a number of people within the ruling party that would call themselves communist, but a true communist government is heavily centralised like in Cuba or Vietnam at least in Sweden you get to vote every few years.

You can only vote on one party, the Social Democrats or Communists. The "Commie-Democrats" has ruled Sweden sice 1915. There is other parties, but they are small. But Swedes don't generally like me, due to the fact that I'm quite diffrent from them.

different because of what you wear or because of your race/ethnicity? Everyone in Sweden is exepcted to "look the same", not depending on ethicity. I'm a "Georgian"(not 100 % tought), and wear Georgian-style outfit(not like the folk dress of course ;D, but black coat, boots, fur hat and so on. And I'm both foregin and waering "strange" clothes. That is not accepted by people here.

Swedes tend to be very narrow-minded and inhibited. Everyone is supposed to be like everyone else (i.e. socialist), no one is supposed to be different. I don't see the social-democrats as communist, but they're almost the same.

There's an old phrase: "When in Rome, do as the Romans." Recipe for success and smooth living.
