Whenever a subject is shown for classification, discussion almost always centers around their pigmentation. I still haven't figured this out. As we all know, darker caucasians can be found in the north of Europe and lighter caucasians can be found in the south of Europe. Therefore, pigmentation tells you very little about the origins of the person. I feel like you could take any old caucasian, put a curly dark wig on their head, and they will get called Med. or med influenced. Dark Brits are always getting called Med mixed when they don't look Med to me at all usually. I've read comments like, "no, they don't look anything alike- one has brown eyes and the other had blue eyes." Do caucasians look so much alike that we over rely on pigmentation? What's going on here?

It seems a lot of us come from color obsessed societies... I know that whole nordic thing seems to just hinge on the blond hair and blue eyes. The second someone from Northern Europe has darker hair or eyes (not to mention a skin shade darker), there's all this talk on this site of "Paleo Atlantics" or "Med Atlantics" or "CroMagnoids" or whatever they're supposedly called! It's like it's such a big issue... Maybe they're just brown haired or brown eyed Nordics...

Pigmentation is just one feature and finally not the most important one. I usually prefer to look for morphological form features.

Pigmentation is just one trait among many, besides the differences between pale white, pinkish, ivory, sallow, olive, light brown--all caucasoid colors are not THAT big. They don't draw that much attention.

Pigmentation is one of the MOST important traits Humans wouldnt look as much different then they do now if it wasnt for the pigmentation The sad thing is that you actually believe this and take it seriously. If what you say is true, then there should be nothing odd or immediately noticeable about Negroid albinos, which is clearly not the case.

I think that when it comes to distinguishing different Caucasoids, especially European Caucasoids, facial/skeletal characteristics are much more important than pigmentation traits such as hair and eye color. Even though certain pigmentation patterns do exist, a light brown-haired blue-eyed Italian or Greek is not really going to resemble a typical Brit, for example. Pigmentation really assumes more importance when we're talking about the differences between racial groups (i.e. Caucasoids, Mongoloids, Negroids, etc.)
