Hi, I am new here. I think you guys know a lot about physical anthropology. So I wanted to ask you whether you know where I can get any information about east asian races. I searched in the internet but could not find any detailed information. Although I work in an university in Germany (btw I am 50% Italian and 50% German), there is not a single book about biological anthropology (since races are not existant offically in Germany).

Welcome to DODONA, Trajan! (btw I am 50% Italian and 50% German) Nice combination. I've always wondered why many Germans and Italians intermarry. Is it something in their culture? BTW, do you live in the US?

thank you very much for the information. Do you also think that information on the racial situation in east asia is very hard to find compared to Europe? I only know the description of the east asian races from Eickstedt.
"Nice combination. I've always wondered why many Germans and Italians intermarry. Is it something in their culture?
In Southwestern Germany, where I was born and raised and where I live, live many southern italians. They came in the early 60's due to a lack of labor supply in Germany.
Actually it is not uncommon that italian males intermarriy with German, above all Southern German, women. And the funny thing is that it works in most cases. A reason could be that the South Western Germans or Alemans are more open to foreign influences compared to other Germans.
Also from a historical point there were always close ties between South Germany and Italy. The German Emperors in the middle ages, who were also rulers of large parts of Italy, were also loved by many Italians (not by all of course). The partisans of the German Emperor in Italy were called Ghibellins.( The word comes from Waiblingen. The swabian town which was the origin of the the Staufer family). And most of those German Emperors were of southern German descent, for example Friedrich Barbarossa. Maybe this could also be a reason.
"BTW, do you live in the US?"
I live in South Western Germany (Baden-Württemberg), where I was also born and raised. Its a very beautiful part of Germany. The most beautiful according to my taste.

Hi Trajan! I think you can get good books in all libraries, over amazon, many other publishing companies and over the i-net. I can give you some literature you should get in every bookshop. The main problem is, that it is quite expensive to buy them. (f.e. the huge work of Ilse Schwidetzky) I can attach in another forum (here its not possible I think) some material in German from a book about biological Anthropology about the Mongolid-East Asian races. On skadi.net/forum/ I can post it if you want. Just inform me its a question of 3 min. for me to scan and post it there.

"I can give you some literature you should get in every bookshop". That would be helpful. On booxtra.de, for example, I have not found one book on human races "On skadi.net/forum/ I can post it if you want. Just inform me its a question of 3 min. for me to scan and post it there." yeah, that would be great, thanks.

Dinaride) Typen.
For all: I post some sides of an German Anthropological book on Skadi - racial general.
If I have the time I probably translate some parts if there is some interest.
