I think there is a use in the term Palaeo-Atlantid because this type really exist! If this type should be called a subrace or just local variety is a difficult question.
The only thing I'm thinking about is, whether this type is just the result of mixture or an old British type which predates all others and has features on his own which is AT LEAST POSSIBLE!
West-Mediterraneans, or better Gracilmediterranids, are usually smaller in every aspect.
Sometimes I tend to say Palaeo-Atlantids are mixed Meds with UP types, quite similar to Dalofaelid types but thats just a guess.
