The face looks rather Greek IMO. Could also be a southern Italian too.

He could fit in many places along the sea rim - from Scandinavia to Netherlands, from Spain to the Black sea. IMO he could very well be a Swede, but I admit the risk of brutal failure.

^He could be from anywhere in Europe, but some of his features actually remind me of Greeks I've seen. I dunno. Maybe eastern European.

Along the sea rim? Why would you think that? Could it be his navy uniform?

Along the sea rim? Why would you think that? Could it be his navy uniform? It was a clumsy way to describe the belts of leptomorph and usually dolikocephal populations in the coastal areas of NW and S Europe (i e Nordids and Mediterranids) all the way from Norway to the Black Sea. Olympian, In my eyes this is more typical Greek. It's easier to get lost far away from your own country.

Quarry, the man you show does look Greek but is far from typical. He is a type you see in the minority, maybe in cyprus or some island.

Your hangup is not based on logic

Your hangup is not based on logic I admit that. But it's the impression I've got from Greeks living in my country and when visiting Greece.
