Maybe German? I agree their "expresssion" is not American. Interesting to think how facial expressions and body language differ among populations.

A few of them look very Scandinavian, so I'll say Sweden or Denmark. Germany is also possible, and Netherlands too. However, anyone could be American! P.s. there's a lot of girls in this class pps. FunkMonk: Hvis det er dansk, er det så sproglig gymnasium?

Jeps, de er en dansk sproglig 1.g klasse fra Sankt Annæ Gymnasium, så det forklarer vist antallet af piger... Vi er i 3.g nu.
They are from Denmark, and it is actually my class, even though i'm not included on the picture, hehe..
Obviously some of them aren't indigenous, and there are some mixed individuals as well. I guess an American class would look a lot more fake, and have a few more Africans and "Hispanics".
If it is of any interest, i can try to break up the ethnic composition of those i know of...
Front row from the right, two first girls are just Danish i think, the third girl actually has some Saami "Lappoid" ancestry and maybe some distant Gypsy, the fourth girl is half Danish half Catalonian Spanish and the fifth guy claims to have a sub-Saharan African ancestor a few generations back.
Second row, don't know about the first girl, second girl is half Icelandic, i don't know about the three next girls, but the girl farthest to the left is second generation Macedonian.
Third row, first guy i'm not sure, second has some assumed Southern European ancestry, but a sure German connection as well, the third guy is, obviously, half Ghanese/Danish, the guy after him is Danish with some German and Finnish, and some distant, maybe assumed, Jewish and Gypsy ancestry as well. Next guy i'm not sure with, next girl has German ancestry and the two next i'm not sure of, but the darkhaired girl was a contestant in the Danish "Popstars" programme a few years back...
Back row, the first guy has some German maybe Jewish ancestry, two next girls i don't know the ancestry of, the fourth girl is half Irish half Scottish, the fifth girl is an Iraqi Kurd and the last girl on the back row apparently has some Jewish ancestry as well.
Booyah! And it might even be visually detectable on these people, i don't know.

Heh, the German is a bitch (we wouldn't want to dilute her pure Aryan genes with inferior dinarisised Mediterranid, would we? ) and the darkhaired one dropped out because of "Popstars". And yes, it is a huge trend to go into these "solariums" to get tanned. Furthermore it's in the summer.
