That's incorrect Gambler. While some Mexicans have African DNA, there's in fact no evidence to suggest that Sicilians have any sub-Saharan African DNA markers. I see nothing unusual about Joe Torre's look, he would fit perfectly well on mainland S. Italy or the Balkans. Nick Turturro is atypical for a Sicilian and his family most likely just has considerable Arab/Berber admixture. Some Gypsy admixture could also serve as a valid explanation for his look.

Well ok, if we get down to it we can always scrounge up a few individuals in every ethnicity who have markers from other racial groups due to past human migrations, invasions, and just simple gene flow, but usually a percentage of 1.2% won't affect a given person's phenotype.

You know, looking back, I've changed my mind. I do think there is something sub-Saharan about Jessica. I think you were right, Crimson, though I still don't know what it is other than the fact that she has very rounded features and a mulattoid complexion.

It's possible her father was ethnically diverse himself-- perhaps a mulatto or a zambo or a castizo or whatever. Without any pics, we'll never know.

Their has only been 0.65% of Negroid DNA found in Sicily,this is extremly negligible amount, its also the same found throughout Europe.Regardless it has no bearing on Sicilian genetics,if it did all of Europe will have the same problem.

Britain has 1% Negroid DNA,and Portugal has the highest.

And I never said "all" Mexicans have negroid DNA,can you read?
