Gimme a break gambler, thats a beach swimsuit photo shoot, of course her skin's gonna look darker in those pics. You don't think they tanned her skin for that? If she was naturally brown-skinned, therefore untanned, then her skin tone would not appear so different. She can range from being very pale to dark, this means her natural skin-tone would be the ones where she is the lightest....however............. She has such a versatile look that at times she could almost pass as a European (like above), others she looks predominantly east-Asian like this............. ...but in this image she is suspiciously "mulatto" looking:

She's an oddball that can pass as any mixed race if she wanted to, but her non-white features look infinitely more Mongoloid than Negroid to me.

The people that say she doesnt look black ,are simply not being honest. She clearly got a very negroid look and structure..their no question about it. I always thought she looked slightly African. She doesn't look very European to me, even with the bleached hair. I've noticed when an attractive woman is shown on this site like Adriana Lima, the white men don't seem to see any black (SSA) in the particular woman. They will admit every other race- Asian, Indigenous South American, etc., but not SSA. I don't know why this is.

I would bang Halle Berry and Alicia Keys in a second. The point is I don't think people should go around calling Alba partially black if there's no proof, when she's just as likely (and in my opinion more likely) to be just a round-featured mestiza.

I don't know most of the people featured on this board as Coloreds, but I think it must be a handicap to be caucasoid and dark in the USA. I looked up Joe Torre, some baseball person, and found that he looks like a dark caucasoid with an unusual upturned blobby nose. He has a rather high forehead which is not Mediterranid or Negrid and a square looking chin. It just confirms to me how caucasoid mixed American blacks are and how non black American think those caucasoid features in those black Americans is negroid. Your ideas of what negroids are is way off, and what caucasoids are. They are not people out of some Wagner Opera looking like Valkyries.

When I first saw Jessica, I assumed her to be just another pretty white girl. Therefore typical American mutt. hard to believe, frankly... if Jessica Alba's name was Yasmeena Bayda, i'm sure that no one would see the "typical american mutt" on her, i think that people are easily misled by names : i can bet you that if the pretty girl was Arab or something else, you would see on her non white elements or whatever your imagination would like to see... it's all about names !

You are very correct about this. It is funny what people look at to figure out what an individual is when all they should be looking at is the physical features. Sometimes they use the country of origin, people in the background (even if they are just friends), nationality etc. If a European looking person is from the US or Latin America everyone sees obvious indigenous influence. If a woman is some kind of model the guys tend to think she looks predominantly European even if she does not.

Yeah, even if Alba was Cuban instead of Mexican(which some here are equeling with Amerindian/mongoloid),she would considered part negroid or have negroid mixture right off the bat.

Yeah, even if Alba was Cuban instead of Mexican(which some here are equeling with Amerindian/mongoloid),she would considered part negroid or have negroid mixture right off the bat. That's because the majority of mixed Mexicans ARE mestizos. There is no ignoring the obvious.

I don't understand why everyone finds her so attractive.

I do believe I read that her mother is French Canadian to be precise, and has some Canadian Amerind through that background.
