Most Australians are of English, Scottish, Irish and Welsh stock so there is nothing different between the Hutchence family and most Australians. Yet that look is not common in Australia. If Atlantids and Paleo-Atlantids are quite common in the British Isles and most white Australians are of British descent, then how can Michael's look be uncommon for Australia? Here's another Paleo-Atlantid Aussie: Julian McMahon of Nip/Tuck [IMGhttp://img36.imageshack.us/img36/8149/julianmcmahon2kc.jpg[/IMG] Please don't start insisting that Julian is part Maori. he comes from one of the 'whitest' of Australian families. His father was Prime Minister in the 70's.

I live in Australia, and have done for 8 years now. I lived in England, Warwickshire to be precise for 10 years before that studying and getting qualified in science. I think I know what Australians, English people look like. My ex wife and two children are English as well. I never said Michael Hutchence was Maori, I said there are lots of Maoris in Australia. The New Zealanders flock to Australia and why not, good climates, better work conditions, better pay, better welfare. Julian McMahon is the son of a former P.M of Australia reputed to be a homosexual and whose party forced to marry when the man was in his fifties. It is rumored that Julian McMahon is actually the son of Billie Mackie Sneddon. Julian certainly does not look like big ears McMahon and is about 30 cm taller. As far as Atlantid types go, most Australians are more on the Nordic side.

I also noticed that Michael and his father have distinct chin clefts. His sister didn't. You explained the reason for that. His brother seems to lack a cleft or has a very faint one from what I can see. Chin clefts are due to autosomal dominant genes. If one of your parents has a chin cleft, you will have one too. Yes, cleft chins are dominant. Your last statement, however, is incorrect. Cleft chin parents CAN have smooth chin offspring. Observe the following table: Genotype Phenotype Homozygous dominant: CC Cleft chin Homozygous recessive: cc Smooth chin Heterozygous: Cc Cleft chin If Michael's father is Heterozygous, he has a 50/50 chance of passing on the dominant celft chin gene. So he passed on the dominant gene to Michael, but not to Michael's brother.

Of course if Hutchence senior was heterogenous that could be the case, but that is an assumption. So is the adoption scenario or the milk man.
I teach genetics by the way. I just assume most people are ignorant. Science is not popular.
