If i saw someone with hair like that in England i'd probably think they come from Italy or Latin America. Hair that long isn't common here especially with the hairbands. yeah get a lot of people in England with Indie style haircuts but not as long as those footballers

Not all of them are footballers, there is 1 tennis players and 2 actors and a musician.
but it is true that it is extremely common among sportmen here.
I remember before the last world cup, a spaniard asked me in another internet forum why all our players had long hair, and after getting eliminated in the first round they would be called a bunch of long haired + something not nice as an insult (which they deserved, for losing, lol)
I hadnt noticed that italians are like that too (long hair among sportmen) but you are right.

Mullets are always short in the front and long in the back and often are layered. When I first met my husband, he had a mullet and I thought it looked good on him. He cut the back short...I miss the mullet. That said, I think the cut looks really bad on most people. "Business in front, party in back" www.mulletlovers.com/

Long hair without short areas is not a mullet. This is the King of Mullets: Rod Stewart In the early Seventies, we called the cut "The Shag." Many of the kids at my school had it.

Metalheads: I like long hair on men. I find quite stupid that they usually them cut off (exept baldheads and those who have unhealthy hair).

Mullets are associated with hicks now. Two films poking fun at hicks: David Spade in "Joe Dirt": David Cross in "Run Ronnie, Run"

Also, whats the difference between just long hair and a mullet? Are these good examples? (all from Argentina) Mullet is a haircut that is long from the back, but short from the sides and and the top of the head. It was fashionable in the 70's and the 80's, and had had a second coming in a "hipper" form in the past few years. I, however think, that it usually looks hidious. But generally speaking longer hair on man doesn't look bad at all. I also noticed that it is very popular in Argentina in the 90's when watching soccer. Actually one of my friends said to me: "The Argentinian barbers must be on strike" seeing all the Argentian soccerstars with long hair.

Mullets are hideous. Here, they are exclusively associated with hicks and nerds.

Mullets are terribly outdated IMO. LOL, there are a fair number of people here in Pennsylvania with mullets. I tend to associate them with rednecks and hippies, or if you prefer South Park terms, pissed off white trash conservatives and aging hippie liberal douches ;D ;D.

I've never seen hippies with mullets. However, I think there is a big difference between a mullet and normal long hair. I think that long hair usually looks fine if it's well kept. My hair is kind of long (about an inch or two past my ears). It used to be down to my shoulders a little more than two years ago, but I cut it off since it was getting hard to keep in good condition.

an Ex-Housemate of mine grew a Mullet for Charity. he asked all those he knew 'how much you bet I will grow full Mullet?' and then he did it. Billy Ray Cyrus, Michael Bolton, Mel Gibson and Kurt Russel as well as most footballers of Italia 90' (and especially the Czechs) have all paraded awesome Mullets Billy Ray Thomas Skuravy
