That is only a map of Y- haplogroups, not of overall genetic diversity.
In reality the most diverse regions are in southeast Africa, especially near the coast of Kenya, for two reasons
1)Humans orginated here and have been living here the longest, thus the most variation has built up over time, There is more variation in this region than Asia and Europe combined!
2)Especially near the coast of Kenya and Tanzania, which has been a major trading area, many Africans from varying tribes have been drawn to this region. Also many traders from other nations have come and settled here, adding to the genetic mix, so you get all types of blacks, traders from southern Europe mixed in, Arabian and south asian Traders, Asian traders all have added to the gene pool.

well I disagree. Humans originated from Africa, all these nationalists try to claim homo sapiens came from their lands . I still hold my comment that South east Africa is the most genetically diverse area. My sources include Spencer Wells, The Journey of Man, take it or leave it.

I can understand disagreeing with me on the origins of man based on the quality of research of Spencer Wells in your judgement. But what does nationalism of anybody have to with that? I agree with the hypothesis of Eurasia being the origin of man based on the quality of the research of those scientists that assert such a hypothesis. The quality of their research and argument is more credible to me. Do certain types of nationalism of certain kinds of people colour your thinking to the point that the issue of nationalism is an amendment to your support of the "African Eve" hypothesis? How is that scientific or logical?

I meant there are certain nationalists who like to think people originated from their land. For example I read an article by a Chinese about how people originated from China. I am Iranian. I have also read articles about how man evolved in Iran, the greatest land on earth, blah, blah
I did NOT mean you in particular. If ur views are backed scientifically, which they are, then it is perfectly okay to have different views.

Are these your thoughts/website, or are you parroting somebody else’s ideas?

No matter if something is true or not if it's "scientific" in your view its always valid?

Are these your thoughts/website, or are you parroting somebody else’s ideas? Sense when is a person a parrot when they agree with somebody elses well argued and well researched hypothesis? Did you take Plane Geometry in High School? If you received a passing grade and learnt the subject well, are you one of Euclid's parrots? Are you your kindergarten teacher's parrot because you learnt your alphabets so well? What's your point?

So science transcends logic? The question is absurd. Science is rooted in logic. No matter if something is true or not if it's "scientific" in your view its always valid? If "something" is verified through the scientific method, it's a valid assertion.
