That map makes the island of Pantelleria, Italian and administratively part of Sicily, look like it belonged to the Ottomans then the Frogs. Is that true?

I'm from Romania and i know very well local history so i easely see that map is not acurate. Romania was founded in 1859 when Moldavia and Walachia united, but Moldavia and Walachia were never pashaliks. Only between 1715 - 1821 the local princes were replaced with puppet greek rulers, but still Moldavia and Wallachia were not turkish pashaliks. So is not correct to say that Romania was autonomous only after 1859, the truth is that it was never turkish territory ruled by a pasha like it was the case with the rest of the empire.
