My logic, is that, unfortunatelly, is that most of the people in portugal who get the chance of getting into high politics and high education ( specially at an european level) are from the previleged class. Company managers, ministers, rich people in general in portugal, have lighter skin and eyes than the common portuguese folk, and also have names like: Paes do Amaral, Sarsfield Cabral, Moura e Mello, Castelo Branco, as opposed to the common folk, who will have names like Silva or Madeira ( yes, Jamila Madeira and Cavaco Silva being an exception - he often uses this in his favor, claiming to come from "the poor people" in order to get simpathy).
Sad as it is, it is observable that the higher class, who is usually from nobility descent, and have better education and better jobs, have different ancestry from the common folk. I always thought the greater prevalence of lighter eyes and skin in these descendants from nobelty to have a nordic origin (since the noblety in portugal was not native in the begining but rather normandic or whatever) , but that is just me supposing ...

Also, compare the trait of the members of conservative party CDS-PP with the ones from the Socialist Party. You'll see the conservatives are higher class, have lighter skin and lighter eyes.

Anyway, what I meant to say is that taking the pictures of the portuguese MP's is not a good sample of the portuguese population: it is biased because you are selecting the higher classes. It's like showing pictures of Brasilian MP's or Models as representative of the common brasilian population !!!

Listen chump,CDS and PP have a majority backing in Northern Portugal where the alpine element is strongest (but not as strong as you would like it to be.).wheres in the south the more socialist backing and med element is the strongest.

Brazil is not Portugal.Portugal is not Brazil, Portuguese Mp\'s are a good source because they come those regions and they are not NORDIC from visigoth ancestry.
