What's 'Western' about Zoroastrianism? It's classified as a western religion like the other three major monotheistic religions. This is in opposition to eastern religions like Buddhism and Hinduism. Weird, I always thought of Zoroastrianism and Islam as eastern religions. Ah well.

Why do you generally dislike the Abrahamic religions? I'm not challenging you, but I'm just curious. I think that most Christians and Jews aren't dangerous fanatics, although an unacceptable percentage of Muslims are. BTW, you should check out the history of Zoroastrianism, which is the forgotten western monotheistic religion. Take a look at the different categories of passages here for a start: www.skepticsannotatedbible.comWhy are the passages that fall under the listed categories never mentioned in church? From attending Catholic church for many years with my parents, I have noticed that the general pattern is to sweep such passages under the rug. I see what you mean now. I attended some churches that mentioned some of those confusing and distressing verses. I had my own personal struggle with faith, so I understand. I think that it's best to embrace the core values that make Christianity a positive force in the world.

This web site is about the *five* main western religions. www.nvcc.edu/home/lshulman/Rel232/index.htm

You should restructure the poll by Saying which is the Fastest growing religion Definately Islam. Islam has more than 1 Billion Adherants. Although most haters wold blame the Action of A few individuals to the whole muslims Lets see some Facts
It wasnt Islam that paved the way for native Americans be Exterminated by the Yankees Hence were the yankees Muslims or Christians?
It wasnt Islam that Started the 2 world war that resulted in the Death of more than 50 million people.
It wasnt Islam that Tested the Atomic Bomb on Japan despite the japanese accepting to surrender prior the bombing.
It wanst Islam that caused the massacre of Jews in Europe During the 2 world war .
It wasnt the Muslims who invaded vietnam in the 60's that saw the extensive use of biological weapons on inocent civilians in the name of propagating Democracy.
So its not the duty of muslims to be apologetic each time they are rediculed.
