im, i mean assad is alawi right? they are only "politically" muslim in syria, they are triniterian,drink alcahol,and belive the qu'ran and pillars are metaphorical

lebanon is a little more than 50% muslim but the president ahs to be a moronite christian if I recall correctly
christian used to be the majority, but many emmigrated, and muslims have more babies.

Alawites are muslim ? They have been given the 'official Muslim' stamp by certain Sunni religious authorities - I read about it. It may be a matter of political convenience... |

no i asked an alawi, ive seen a pro alawi page by an alawi, they celbrate christmass, and they have a mass ritual, i also know turkish alawis(alevis) personally, in turkey they are considered biggest non muslim minority

look alawis are alot different than sunnis that for sure, but they still believe in quran, alot of them fast and so on...
I know alot of Alwais and there are alot of alawi villages around my city
you can still see many of them having quran in their car or home.
now they can be whatever they want, but the problem with these online "patriots" (mostly teen) is that they try to divide the population with some stupid crap...
again, I have never seen an Alawi celebrating Christmas as a religous event
