I'm not really in a position to argue the science of the UB, although I think everyone should realize that what is accepted as fact in science today may end up being revised tomorrow. This is recognized by the UB when it states "within a few short years many of our statements regarding the physical sciences will stand in need of revision in consequence of additional scientific developments and new discoveries."
As for accepting the UB on faith, that much is obvious, and whether or not you think there are "better faiths" out there or not is up to you. All I can say is that the UB is what makes the most sense to me so far. However, I'd be interested to hear about these "better faiths" you speak of, and what it is about them that makes you think they are "better".
