Wadaad, it's one thing to speak Chinese and follow the traditional tenets of Buddhism. It's another to glorify gangsta culture and an immoral value system (women are sexual objects) that is clearly hostile to that of the majority, then expect to be accepted by that majority ("and if you don't, you're racist"). Exactly what the hell is "gangsta" culture? How do you define this? Wearing baggy clothes and having cornrows isn't "gangsta" culture" thats just judging people from their outer appearance without respect to who they are inside. There are tons of white people who treat women as sexual objects, but why are blacks targeted as the only ones? What about white actors who play gangster roles, its very funny that inner city so-called "gangsta" culture is looked down upon as negative and destructive but movies like the Godfather and Scarface are glorified good and cool. i see no difference between the black "gangsta" rapper and the white "gangsta" mafioso actor because they're both entertainers making money.

Yeah thats all true. While I was writing that which was in response to arountheworld's post about assimilating with whites, I didnt read forrestor's post that was prior I agree with this. As well as with you about glorifying the gangsta culture ( I call it an adolescent culture because thats more accurate) only idiots do not grow out of it. I want Blacks to be successful, and law abiding obviously. I got carried away with the whole assimilation thing which I consider almost sacrilegous... to sum up what I think on this, African Americans should not get rid of anything about their culture so they can become a model minority, BUT they should strive for more economic clout, they can only to do that is by becoming functioning law abiding members of society and changing their value system

Wearing baggy clothes and having cornrows isn't "gangsta" culture" thats just judging people from their outer appearance without respect to who they are inside. It has little to do with what they wear. It's how they act. The messages they send. I even admit to liking cornrows and the whole gear. That's not my quarrel. There are tons of white people who treat women as sexual objects, but why are blacks targeted as the only ones? Individuals, yes, but not entertainment genres. The Sopranos show has gotten plenty of criticism for stereotyping Italian Americans. People like the story of the Godfather, not the mob itself, obviously.

I hate it when dumb people Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton say things like black people are in the grave crisis because they overlook the good who are the majority, and use the plight of the disadvantaged to advance their own political agenda.

Even Bill Cosby said he can't even understand what most of these black youths are saying today with their hardcore ghetto slang talk. Even Bill Cosby? Really? I didn't know he was tight with Dre and Fifty. I mean, he's what? An old fart if there was one? Even a man whose fanbase is probably old white people is complaining about youth culture? Yeah, great example. That's pretty much any black man over 40 anyway. That's a typical geriatric trait--complaining about those darn youngers with "their slang talk".

Crimsom Guard Whites are 70% of the U.S population so how are we the minority already. Talking in many major cities and certain states. Immigration is only open to non-White 3rd world countries, with the only exception being Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

Yeah many Italian Americans wanted the Sopranos cancelled and off the air but the other Italian Americans who have no beef with that show didn't go out and call the anti-Soprano crowd uncle toms unlike Black Americans do use the term uncle tom when one of their own criticizes gangsta rap for their promoting of negative lifestyles.

Mayne, you're so pathetically stupid I don't know where to start, no one calls anyone an Uncle Tom for criticizing gangsta rap music and gangsta rap isn't even as popular as it once was. The conscious backpacker rap of the late 80s is starting to make its way back now with people like Kayne West, Common and the Roots.

I think Rap has not been good for the black community, before rap blacks music was monk, coltrane and mingus, bb king miles davis, armstrong, which was loved and respected by everybody, almost the classical music of this past century and popular artists like like prince, or steview wonder, Bob marley, all the funk and disco singers, hendrix etc
Now when people think of black music, they think of niggaz, and pimps, and whores, and gold teeth, and weapons, and all those things.
I just think all rap is ugly unenjoyable music, I like people singing not people talking fast
it sounds all like I remember one rap song which was basically the same as Every breath you take (of the Police) with just a few random words over it.
I am glad it never became very popular where I live

Wadad you watch to many movies, lol!
Bill Cosby says what he says, cause its true, not that he watches it on TV. And he is all for the Blacks, not against.
