I find it interesting also about the difference between short hair and long hair on women. I've worn my hair long most of my life but cut it very short a few times. I wear my hair very long, down to my waist. It is thick, curly light blonde with a bit of red, and some grey. When it is long, I feel attractive--my mane turns heads and although my face isn't especially beautiful--it's just OK but attractive enough, my long hair helps my looks a lot. When my hair was short, people didn't seem attracted by my looks much--I looked more ordinary. I also think of the 'Samson' factor. With long hair, I feel strong, healthy; with short hair, I felt weaker physically. I also question the common practice of older women cutting their hair short, making them look dowdy. I am almost 50 and I wear long hair. That is interesting. The conclusion I came to, was that short hair is much easier to handle than long hair, which is why many women decide to cut it shorter as they get older. This is a pity IMO. Not many women look good with short hair (and most of those who do, would look much better with longer hair). Furthermore, a long healthy hair is always beautiful and it brings a youthfull and healthy look.
