Maybe God might come back. It is about time. Let's hope he brings some GOOD ideas this time.

Funny, I have watched so much Star Trek that I think of God as some sort of campy Q who lives uniforms. Well the last time he, sorry He, did not have much to work with. Only a man made from mud and a woman made of a rib with a yen for apples and snakes.

I vacillate between feeling pessimistic and optimistic about the future of the world.

I believe in three different paths:
1) It goes straight to hell. We exterminate each other. 2) It goes straight to heaven. Star Trek scenario. Everyone human is happy. We meet and like other humanoids. We dislike Borgs. Some humans will dislike the idea of humans breeding with Vulcans. 3) Nothing special will happen. Cultures and empires will rise and fall, power will shift from here to there, people will continue making life miserable for some and great for others.

What do you Trekies really think about the Prime Directive from a XXI century perspective?
There seems to be a total disregard from the advanced and rich nations of the world about the consequences of interfering in the underdeveloped nations.
Do you think is totally unrealistic in the current socio-political settings?
Any thoughts?
BTW, ponto, I like that "Q" guy, specially that episode where he rebels against his peers. Remember?

As it seems we're fighting for the nerdishness primate, I must join in with this: the future has already been predicted by Seldon's psicostoriography. So it ends up with Gaia.
