which region in Europe most likely will be in the future the center of European civilization?
Europe first began in Greece. Then came the Romans. The Romans spread civilization in Western Europe. Northwestern European countries as well as Iberia conquered the World and have dominanted the European scenario (along with Italy as well) these last hundreds of years.
However I dare to say the center of European civilization will be, in the future, Eastern Europe. The time of the Slavs will come... they are not in the seemingly irreversal decay of much of Western Europe. They will manage to keep European identity... theyve got material resources, and what they need is a twist in history to have their time. Poles, Czechs, etc.
what do you think? which will be the next centers of European civilization?

Berlin. Prague. Warsaw. The centre of European civilization will not head east but settle in 'mitteleuropa,' and thus Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic. Even now, Germans and Poles are co-operating on free-trade and other commercial initiatives almost as a resurgence of the former Hanseatic Leauge. The opportunities for economic expansion are far higher in Poland than the Czech Republic.
Before the 19th Century, it had yet to be confirmed that the Slavic heartland (obviously incl. Russia) would be the centre of European power opposite the United States. It has been over a 1/2 century since Hitler tried to alter these long-term trends, and he failed miserably. Thus, it's time to recognize the place of the Slavs in Europe, and the world. 'Go East Young Man.' East is where economic development, investment, and profit is to be located.
All this talk of China is wrongheaded. Sure, China is ripe for Capitalism, but that doesn't equal superpower. In fact, the world is reverting back to a Great Power System, dominated by the economic centres of China, Japan, the USA, Western Europe, and Eastern Europe. That trend was in effect before the Wall came down. Now that East and West will unite, you have two of the world's powerhouses combined, the future belongs to Eurasia.
