Hello, uber-facist message board forum! ;D For a long time, the "academic" consensus on the origin of Ethiopian/Axumite civilizations was that a "conquering race" from Yemen and imposed itself greatly on Northern Ethiopia, which was then apparently a cultural vacuum. Hell, this view is espoused even in recent genetic studies, like in a Cavalli Sfrooza paper (I don't know how to spell the prick's name) it says the Amhara are descended from "Arabian conquerors". Now the South Arabian paradigm for Axum has been challenged if not refuted. Axum seemed to be a purely indigenous continuaton of an earlier kingdom, D'mt, and Yemenese "colonizers" only stayed there a few decades, and didn't impose themselves greatly on the indigenous peoples. Here's a link: www.addistribune.com/Archives/2003/01/17-01-03/Let.htm Read it and weep medi-centrics. ;D
