Are you trying to say there was positively *NO* Somalis that were slaves? Slavery existed in nearly every society.

There is no recorded mass slavery of ethnic Somalis, that I am sure of.

If there were Somali slaves, where did they go did they just disappear. Just because a great portion of Africans were slaved doesn't mean all were slaved.

I really find this interesting. Somalis as slaves. I really don't know what to make of it. The horn of africa includes somalia so when the arabs had the slave trade I think that some somalis were also slaves. I also find it hard to belive that arabs did not have muslim slaves.Saudi Arabia only abolished the practice in the early 1960s. Most of the slaves must of been muslims.

There is no sound to prove Somalis were slaves, the burden of proof is on those who claimed we are slaves. If your ancestors were slaves doesn't mean mine were.

Bring solid sound proof that says Somalis were slaves.

EThiopians(amhara tigray) had axum empire. What did somalia have. What did it ever have? Even today there is no goverment. WE had to teach somalis not to walk around naked.

EThiopians cant be slaves because the axum empire was in Ethiopia (amharar tigary region). So don't even try saying EThiopian (amhara tigray ) were slaves becauseu they were at the top at that time.

BANTU
SOUTHERN ETHIOPIA

The Ogaden are a warrior clan they karbaashed the British, Italians and Ethiopians all at one time. The British had to eventually use their Air force to put a stop the Sayyid Mohamed Abdille and his Darawiish. Guess what he was, he was Ogaden you imbecile.

Lastly the only Amhara and Tigray in Somalia were the ones being sold to Arabs/Iranians/Indians as slaves. to this day Ethiopian women are treated like slaves in UAE, Saudi Arabia etc. I hate to make fun of a fellow African but you need a karbaash.

How do you know my ancestors were slaves? How do you know that I am even black? Like I said before I am just trying to learn a little about somali history I am not trying to get into any arguements with anyone over this it is just that like most of the somalis on dodona I thought that Somalis were never slaves but after reading what some of the people have posted about the horn of africa it made me change my mind about the somalis being slaves. Like I said before my mind can be changed if there is proof that somalis were not slaves then show it.
