counterpunch.com/werther09072005.htmlAn interesting tidbit from a story about classicist and Iraq war supported VDH. "Having disposed of Mr. Hanson's assorted red herrings and straw men, the gravamen of his argument is bosh. Seven-eighths of all Wehrmacht combat-division-months (i.e., one division spending one month in combat) during World War II occurred on the Russian Front.[6] It was the Red Army, as Churchill admitted, which "tore the guts out of the German Army." Without diminishing the courage of the assault troops of D-Day, the successful operation in Normandy would have been impossible in 1944 without Stalingrad and Kursk."

Whats funny is that the British told Stalin of the plan of "Operation Cidadel",the Allies had the entire layout of the Battle Plan, and the Soviets where prepared for the Kursk Offensive...Now the German High Command was informed of this and from their own intel knew that the Russians where pouring in mass numbers of manpower and Weapons into the area in preparations and anticipation of the german Offensive....but Still Hitler and Generals gave the Order to attack...what a goddamned Blunder and a waste of soldiers...But hey, thats Progressivness for ya! ;D
