I'll confess that I have a split mind over how important physical stature is to humans. Although it seems to be there, even when not talked about. Taller men often appear more attractive. Only the best Supermodels of the world are tall. So how important is height to you personally?
Are you small and wish you were taller? Tall and wish you were smaller? Do you prefer taller men/women or smaller men/women? And is height an important factor to human evolution. Just throw your thoughts out. ;D

im dutch we are on average the tallest people in the world. Im 1 m 90 myself. I think it has advantages and disavantages.
The advantage is that tall men are seen as attractive by a lot of women.
On the other hand I know many people who are so tall they cant find clothes in the shops that fit. For me personally I often fall in love with short girls (1.60 m or 1.65 m ). These differences in length are often a problem. That would be some disavantages I think.

I bet there is a certain feeling of having the upper hand over someone who is a lot smaller than you are, when you're arguing with them. Myself, I'm only 5'2". The smallest in my whole family. I don't know what happened. There have been times I've wished to be taller, and then there are times when I somehow feel empowered because I'm so small. For example, people tend to feel like they should protect you, or I sometimes get the feeling that during arguments I am getting away with something because I'm so small. In other words I feel mischevious. ;D Aesthetically, I find tall men more attractive. But being smaller myself sometimes comes a feeling of inadequacy, powerlessness. Especially when children of 12-14 are taller than you. Perhaps in the human mind, height equals physical advantage.

I am on the average/small side for a woman--5'4." As for men, I find tall, slim, non-muscular most attractive. The only thing I don't like about being short is the difficulty I have seeing over tall people in front of me at a concert or show.

That brings back memories of going to the Queens Golden Jubliee in London in...I think 2002...July...with the tallest people I've ever seen standing in front of me, behind me and at the side of me. Lol...not the most comforting situation.

Seated in an auditorium, I often sit on my coat in order to see over the tall people in front of me.

You Dutch and Scandinavians are giants that's for sure, but we young meds are leading the comeback with a vengence as many of us are breaking the 6'0 barrier and surpassing it. I'm 6'2 myself and still growing at 19 ;D I think That's pretty impressive because I was born to an Argentinian Spanish/Italian father who was 5'9 and a southern belle Alabamian mother who was 5'5. Unfortunately, It saddens me that my parents are not able to see this natural phenomenon that has happened to their son since they're dead.

Thanks for the tip, Melnorme! Do you know of comparable freeware programs? Nope. I've gotten rid of that nagging screen with...unorthodox methods, personally.
