She is gorgeous, and looks vaguely Zentralid to me, the origins of which type they do not yet know. They could very well be found further west in Eurasia, or in a much older East Asian stratum. The type is neither Mongoloid nor Austric, so studies have shown.

But she does look at least partly Silvid.

Most likely not, because the situation in Europe was specific and some of the Mongoloid-Protomongoloid features wouldnt have been that negative for the region, so they might have, like especially Sylvids did, evolved in a similar direction (balanced-progressive) but not really the same. Furthermore they began to adopt or already adopted sedentary farmer life mostly based on plants, not meat and animals (low protein), which wouldnt have lead to such tendencies.

Thats a complex matter and I have, with some exceptions, like most other anthropologists I know of, rather indications for possible explanations.

But to begin with, its important to understand that every change in the subsistence pattern, in the way of life influences in many ways.

F.e.: typical sedentary farmers based on plants more than animal husbandry have often problems with their proteins - this is less problematic for smaller, reduced individuals, which need less energy and save more (so they get fat when too much energy is available much easier as well).
They have to do unergonomic work, bad for a high performance physique, height is not that important, as explained rather disadvantageous, they dont need to be made for long range (they dont move as much, herders are constantly on the move, are rangy leptomorphic types if the climate is ok for that), dont have as much wars, for long term creative planning (rather for long term suffering and to simply hang on, bring their children too - they have more children, children are workers, herders select more - have less children, more often infanticid, higher selection - children are not as important as workers, even on the contrary, the food source (mainly animals) is more limited - same is more or less true for hunter gatherers in difficult times.
The digestive apparatus has to be adapted, as the potential saving - herders need to be always efficient, versatile, farmers, might need strength and robustness (against the unergonomic hard work, for social adaptation, if its about plagues, hunger, getting children early and living for them etc.) but not being versatile.

So just a change from H-G to mobile farmers, and from mobile farmers to herders, combined economy or mainly farmers - sedentary, can make a huge difference for the whole selective regime on the long run. Main point is, if life is worse, really bad (low energy, often hunger, frugal and independent lifes, many plagues, constant contraselective wars in which the best die or get no children) - its bad for human development, especially the physique and personality traits as well.

I brought examples and further explanations in other threads. Most typical sedentary farmers under bad conditions get certain tendencies (reduction, infantilisation, brachymorphisation), most herder warriors as well (tall, lean, rangy, leptomorphisation, progressive juvenile-mature physique).
