As it says in the introduction, the 'black or white' calc is far from being perfect. It doesn't take very many measurements into account, so don't take it personally Also, if you have time, post your pics for classification. Perhaps there's some clue as to why the BW calc went wrong. Perhaps your head is long and your head-height low...etc. hey..thanks for the explanation...I must admit I was initially shocked but I do realize that the calculator doesn't take hair style, lip size, eyebrows, etc. Also, using a ruler proved difficult as I would get different results each time...being a minor I think I might need time to grow.....as for the pics...maybe later, I just joined today so I'm a bit apprehensive By the way, thank you for a great site, I'd like to thank you for refuting horrendous and offensive AFrocentrist/Nordicist claims of Ancient Egyptians. I'm staunchly proud of my Mediterranean heritage (we created the modern world) so seeing a site administered by Mediterraneans and standing up for the Mediterranean people is re-assuring.

My results:
Your cephalic index is: 76.8 (mesocephalic) Your height/length index is: 63.1 (hypsicephalic) Your height/breadth index is: 82.2 (metriocephalic) Your facial index is: 92.6 (leptoprosopic) Your upper facial index is: 54.8 (mesene) Your nasal index is: 63.6 (leptorrhine) Your estimated endocranial volume is: 1419 cc (euencephalic) Your estimated brain weight is: 1316 gr
Proto-Europoid: 22 62 -0.42 Mediterranoid: 7 8 0.4 Alpinoid: 10 16 -0.29 Irano-Nordoid: 4 4 0.58 Dinaroid: 12 20 -0.39
Your classification is Irano-Nordoid (using Euclidean distance), Irano-Nordoid (using Mahalanobis distance), and Irano-Nordoid (using Cosine similarity).
Here are my measurements (I think they're fairly accurate, but not 100%)
Head Length: 198mm Head Breadth: 152mm Head Height: 125mm Min Frontal: 100mm Bizygomatic: 135mm Bigonial: 115mm Total Face Ht: 125mm Upper Face Ht: 74mm Nasal Height: 55mm Nasal Breadth: 35mm
According to this, I am metrically closest to the Irano-Nordoid type. What types does this include? Judging by the name [Irano-Nordoid], I'm guessing this includes types of the Iran/Afghanistan areas and the Nordid types (Keltid, Skandid). Are there anymore? Would the Atlanto-Med types be included here?

You have similar measurements to me, except your face being generally smaller, though of similar proportions.
Yes, Atlantid-Atlantomediterranid should be in the range too. Mediterranid in this scheme is rather the small Gracilmediterranid IMO.

There is a link to the description of the metric types in the results page of the calculator, and you can read more about the features of each type. Irano-Nordoid here designates a geographical extent and is not the same as the so-called Nordic-Iranian type.

Here are mine: Your cephalic index is: 78.1 (mesocephalic) Your height/length index is: 66 (hypsicephalic) Your height/breadth index is: 84.5 (metriocephalic) Your facial index is: 84.7 (mesoprosopic) Your upper facial index is: 49.1 (euryene) Your nasal index is: 68.4 (leptorrhine) Your estimated endocranial volume is: 1526 cc (aristencephalic) Your estimated brain weight is: 1430 gr Your classification is Proto-Europoid (using Euclidean distance), Proto-Europoid (using Mahalanobis distance), and Proto-Europoid (using Cosine similarity). I got a warning that the minimum frontal and bigonial were too large. I measured twice and got the same result. Both are 132mm. What do you think? Here is my Races of Europe match:

I also saved it from another web-site, but I deleted them On the stirpes forum there are only 26 plates.

yeah! I just realized that as well, and then remembered that I also gathered them as well from a post here by Gareth that was lost later. Now I am confused at why I have them all.

I would gladly upload them all and post them, but my internet is dial-up and it would take forever to do.
