Wow, I know there are fair Syrians, Turks, etc., but even her facial features look more European than Near Eastern IMO. As far as physical type goes, my guess is she's Alpine.

'Syrian origin', but is that her only origin?

She looks Norid with Alpinoid admixture imo.
She's probably one of the most European looking Syrians I know of.

She's got a fair degree of European in her possibly German, Slavic, Baltic, or Finnish. Her face is simply too wide and facial features too central-east european.

She could be a syrian jew Syrian Jews are lighter than syrian arabs. Or she could even be circassian.

She could even be native syrian (non-arabian). Some syrians and lebanese look like that. Just look at General John Abizaid of US Central Command. He is Lebanese and he has pale white skin and light eyes.

Maybe it is me, but she doesn't look European, near European definitely. There is something non European about the corners of her eyes and overall look. Having endured watching a Lebanese soap so as to learn Lebanese Arabic, I would say that the stars of that soap look a lot like her, light complected and roundish face.
I looked up Gorani and found some Syrian references and references to an ethnic group from Kossovo. It may be that Hala Gorani's ancestry is from the Balkans transferred to Syria for opportunities under the Ottomans. Why not? The Ottomans used their subjects from the Balkans as troops and administrators all over their empire.
