Italian-American character-actor Vincent Schiavelli recently died. How come nobody ever noticed that he bore a scary resemblance to black song-and-dance man Gregory Hines? P.S.--Find your own "celebrity-double" by submitting your photo to this new website: www.play-analogia.com/cgi-bin/index/u/

lol. I noticed that, too. Hines was a polished guy and a dancer so that was probably why.

Also, Snoop Dogg the rapper looks exactly like Kevin Richardson of the Backstreet Boys Band.

Josh noticed this hilarious interracial double of actor Raul Julia. It was from a previous thread on Dominican singers. It's the guy in the upper right of the picture. I thought that the other brother looked like that girl from the movie Dodgeball, who was supposed to be a mannish Eastern European lady-athlete:

Haha yes, racial doubles. Sorry that I still haven't sent you the picture of the Norwegian/Scottish/Irish science teacher at my school. When I am able to scan it, I'll post it here.

That site claimed I resembled either Bill (Chet) Paxton & Chris Klein...
Vincent Schiavelli ,big time character actor, shame he died..I liked his role in "Ghost",which was later ripped off in the Matrix sequel films.
A little slight trivial correction though,he was Sicilian, but it makes very little difference.

He was also in Academy-awar-winning films like One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and cult classics like Fast Times At Ridgemont High.
Crimson Guard, You're right. He's Sicilian, not Italian. Schiavelli even lived in Sicily. He moved back with all the money he made in Hollywood. Regarding the distinction between Sicilians and Italians, you're just being modest: I'm sure you know just how big a blunder it was for me to call him Italian and are being gentlemanly. In actual fact, the Sicilian language is radically different from Italian. I just read up on it on Wikipedia. I had no idea that Sicilian had more in common with Western Romance languages [like French and Spanish] than it did with Central Romance languages like Italian. Sicilians are to Italians what Catalans are to Castilians. In fact, reading the Wikipedia article makes me think that Sicilians might be even further-removed. I already knew that Sicilians ended everything with "u," instead of "o". But I had no idea that they had they transliterated the double-L sound with two d's. In Italian the "gli" has the same value as the Catalan double-L; in Sicilian it's written using two d's. So the Italian word for handsome "bello" is written in Sicilian "beddu". I mean, that's just one example--but Sicilian has a thousand others just like it. We outsiders show our ignorance when we assume that, because they are united with Italy politically, that they're identical culturally or linguistically to their neighbors from the north.

LOL Droop! You might be right! Sicilian also shares similarities with Romanian Language as they end in -u-,exactly the same you where talkign about up their. Sicilian was the common and original lingua-franca of Italy prior to them changing it to Tuckan later on during Dante's day. Sicilian is probably the oldest and purest mixing of Latin-Greek-Punic.

Droop ," One Flew Over the Cuckoo's " movie with the other half Sicilian Jack Nickolson was the one I meant up their, not a "A Clockwork Orange" . I always confuse those 2 for some odd reason.
