Most people don't have the equipment or the patience to get a full suite of anthropometric measurements, but getting an estimate of your cephalic index should be easier. That is defined as the ratio of the breadth of the head at its maximum (which is usually somewhere above the ears) to its length from the glabella (which is the bony part between your eyebrows) to the furthest point at the back of your head multiplied by 100. For example, if your head is 150mm in breadth and 200mm in length, then your cephalic index is 100*150/200 = 75.0. So answer the poll and also respond to this post with the exact value if you feel like it. That way, we will have a histogram of the cephalic index of all posters at this board  My cephalic index is a very high 90.9 |

I don't have a tape measure, so for the hell of it I used a Nintendo cable. I found that my head width is around 3/4 its length. I think I look mesocephalic. I will get a tape measure and post my head index in millimeters.  I just measured my head. For breadth I felt for protrusions and found them just above my ears. My average is 79.1--mesocephalic, just like I thought. P.S. After further testing and getting to know my head like never before, my most consistent measurement seems to be 79.5. |

I´ve heard that just Caucasoids have Hyperdolicocephalic index... Is that true Other that I heard is that Dolicocephalics and Hyperdolicocephalics are seen to be more beautiful in all ethnic groups... Is that true Caipira !! |
