I don't know about Italian or Spanish, but "Alba" means white in Latin. The comparison with Dawson seems way off, but Jessica has apparently played the part of a mulatto in a film called 'Honey' (Johnny Depp played a Scotsman, but that's Hollywood for you). She reports her dad as being very dark Mexican, yet her mother very fair.

Rose Byrne shares similarities with her, she's like Alba without the Mexican ancestry:

Rose Byrne doesn't resemble Jessica Alba at all, she does resemble Rachel Weis, Monica Bellucci, and some spanish actresses as well.

What does Jessica have incommon with Spanish actresses? Ancestry- so if Rose Byrne can resemble Spanish women, so too can Jessica Alba, and in my opinion, I note shared traits between Jessica Alba and Rose Byrne.

Did you actually see the pics I posted of her?


I saw the pics you posted.Make up can lighten up a persons face.But make up cant lighten up the person's body. example you see shes brown.

Only partially. And the Negroid admixture is easy to spot. On Alba it is not. When I first saw Jessica, I assumed her to be just another pretty white girl. Therefore typical American mutt.

Her father may be partially black, who knows. But it's better to be safe than sorry, because I see nothing overtly mulattoid about her. So if she does have negroid ancestry, it is strongly diluted.

Jessica Alba has a natural tan. She isn't olive skin like Salma Hayek.

Jessica Alba has a natural tan. She isn't olive skin like Salma Hayek.

Well, that is the heart of this debate is it not? Some people see it, other do not. Most people agree that she is mixed race, yes - that doesn't necessarily mean part-black. And to quote you:
