To me, this young Muslim Man is a hero for Free Speech:
He explains the personal anguish felt by so many Muslims across the world. And he apologized. From every indication the "panic of violence" seems Madras/extremist, and fairly well coordinated. Bad taste is as visceral as it is intellectual. It's too bad he's been forced to retch out so many apologies in so many ways. A martyr to Enlightenment.
One year later, Vera began her plot for Xenogenesis, the rebirth of a demon race that ruled Earth in the past. She sent her current Agent of Fortune to steal the Amulet of Agamotto for Dr. Strange.

You're right, it's your turn, and you've already been warned a couple of times, and little stars (*) are accumulating that will eventually lead you to Banland, unless you fix your signature.

One of the cartoons (Hitler and Anne Frank in bed):
Are you being funny or serious? Sometimes I can't tell with you Wadad......
Anyways, we all know who liked to bed young pre-pubescent girls and it wasn't Hilter.
What didnt you understand about my post? My point is the Euro advocates of "freedom of expression" better admire this cartoon too, otherwise they can go to hell. You know, Tit for Tat, just like in the bible

Exactly.
Wadad, in all seriousness, if you want to argue with an asshole you'll get one back.

What is a "Graven Image" to a Muslim
Its tough to say, to start, the 3rd Judeo-Christian commandment, "You shall not make for yourself a graven image bla bla...." Is taken much more literally and figuratively in Islam. Drawing the images of God, or the holy prophets (all prophets and not just Mohammed) is seen as a want to imitate Creation...Sacrilegous! Here is the Hadith, Where Mohammed was asked on whats been said of those who make graven images:
"Allah (swt ), Most High said: "And who is more unjust than those who try to create the likeness of My creation? Let them create an atom, or let them create a wheat grain, or let them create a barley grain." (Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim)

One of the cartoons (Hitler and Anne Frank in bed):
Yes, there have been such cartoons before, and we didn't go bananas over them. Maybe because we didn't know about them, that's a possibility, but we're accustomed to pretty harsh propaganda from the "Muslim" world, or rather certain parts of it, like flag burning and such, and the usual death threats - like the ones issued right now.
However, the issue isn't just free speech, but freedom of press. A free press is a must in a democracy, for various reasons.
I think the above cartoon is really low brow stupid, it's so stupid that I can't take is seriously.
I also think some of the cartoons in the Danish newspaper was stupid, and not funny.
But just because they're stupid doesn't mean they can't publish them. (I never liked that paper anyway )
And, as I said before, they weren't published or endorsed by the Danish government or people, it was a private publishing, why is that so hard to understand? Are Muslims really stupid, or do they have an agenda beyond?
It's also poetic justice that there's always been a strong support for the rights of the Palestinians here. Guess we were wrong, and the Israelis were right (Not that I believe that, but some may conclude like that)

Its a bit of both IMO, I cannot see Danish Muslims seeking an apology from your Queen of all people for example, but governments from Muslim countries really do operate that way...and the thing is Europeans and Americans know this. For example if an Egyptian reporter, or writer wrote or sermoned an incite against any anti-American/Jewish/[insert non Muslim entity here] its within protocol and not unimaginable for the US state department to convey a message to President Hosni Mubarak to get a grip... or else the US wont import their bumper crop of falafels.

Me too, but I also consider the Prophet Muhammad one with the turban bomb on his head as crude and low brow.

Many people don't realize the concept of the atom is of a Levant/North African origin in preceding cultures. And that wisdom must be heard to be realized.
