Hawass is a pompous, arrogant person who does have an agenda. He has good credentials as an Egyptologist, but his blatant political agendas are obvious. |

He has an agenda because he fights Afrocentrism? Please elaborate. You sound more ridiculous as each day passes by. |

Charlie consumed his cards, he is just repeating and will be repeating himself!. The same old stuff ...

Hire a real East African or Egyptian to play the part.

@Berter: You're being foolish. Of course there are both intelligent and handsome black African men. Besides, isn't it up to ME to decide if I find someone handsome or not? And I would prefer someone intelligent and ugly rather than the other way around. Ugliness you can correct if it bothers you a lot. Your intelligence however...
Few men are as good-looking as Tyson Beckford, but he's not all SSA, I believe he's part Chinese.

this thread is going more and more stupid : "you're ugly", "no, i don't", "blablabla nerfertiti", "bla." Nerfetiti is dead ! what about using a muppet for Nerfertiti, or use or 3D character ? i didn't hear no one complained when Disney used Tom Cruise as modele for the drawing of Alladin : in the story, Alladin was a chinese though, if i recall properly ! Hollywood don't care much about race issues : if pets had money, producers could cast a pitt-bull for Ramses and a trap-door spider for... spiderman. this debate around historic movies is irrelevant, it deals with dead people : if i want i can imagine Vercingetorix and Jugurtha as dancing Robots from space ! look at Stargate tv show which deals with a debatable version of ancient history : almost all the actor are... Canadians, Canadians all around the show : Canadians playing ancient Egyptian, Canadians playing Aliens, etc. the only non Canadians i saw in this show playing an alien was the beautiful Jolen Blalock and Claudia Black.

What resemblance do you see? Just because she wears Pharaonic clothes? She has a different skin tone, a different nose shape, different face altogether.
