Judging from this picture, Niels's cephalic index lies somewhere between 83 and 84. It can of course be only a rough guess, but even without measuring the picture he's obviously quite brachycephalic. I find such examples like him always very revealing and astonishing, because if you just compare his look with textbook types you'd hardly guess that. Because he doesn't look anyhow Alpine, nor does his head form from the side look very Dinaroid; just a little high vaulted, but with an occipital curvature and quite a straight vault line. Hence: Superficially Nordic looking guys can be quite brachycephalic, too.

Coon mentioned that the Keltic Nordic does have a probable Dinaric strain. It's not really Nordic in the same sense that Hallstatt is.

The picture from above is misleading and doest show the forehead fully which is especially in types with a sloping forehead (like Keltic Nordic) very important for the total head length.

I think most Gallo-Romans (about 2,000 years ago) were rather brachycephal. It was maybe just their warrior-class, who had these dolicho- or mesocephal heads.

Evan you are in the "Keltic Nordic" category, thats for sure, but your head might be somewhat to broad for an extreme example, maybe some Cromagnoid influence, its visible on the forehead too (sides too rounded).

I agree. I have some Brunn features that stand out.

Niels: Keltic-Nordid, IMO
Carleton Coon chose the name Keltic (unfortunate, since many now seem to believe that this type is typical Keltic), because this type of nordid was common among the (northern) Kelts. Keltic Nordid is just the blend between Nordid + Dinarid admixture(Bellbeaker) with slight Med/Alpinid strain.
