As for the slanty eyes..
These Dayaks, tribals all in the way in Indonesia have them.. so.. full SE Asians can have slanty eyes. It's just unusual.

I get conflicting information regarding what "epicanthal fold" really is.
As I understand it, the term means the overlapping fold in the inner corner of the eye, and it can be either the upper lid (most usual) or the lower.

So it doesn't fully describe East Asian eyes, as there's more to it than that. The upper "fold" often completely covers the lower fold, and the actual folding crease is hidden just above the lashes, with the overlapping covering the entire length of the eye. This gives the impression of a single eyelid, or no eyelid(?)
(I hope this makes sense?)

I've seen some schematic drawings of the eyes somewhere on the net, but I couldn't find it again.

When Euros have the epicanthal fold, it is different than the Asian type, as it's just an epicanthal fold, but without the other features of Asian eyes.

Asian eyes, not slanty, and the actual overlapping fold isn't marked in this case, but it's "single eyelid" type eyes:

Here, the overlapping in the inner corner is noticable (upper eyelid epicanthal fold)

From http://www.emedicine.com/plastic/topic425.htm

"The primary difference between white versus Asian eyelids is the inferior level of the prelevator fat. In whites, the supratarsal fold marks the inferior limit of the prelevator fat. This inferior limit is also the point at which the levator aponeurosis attaches to the dermis, creating an upper lid crease. In the Asian eyelid, this dermal attachment rests lower, resulting in a smaller crease, or it does not attach to the skin at all, resulting in an absent fold."

Yeah, that's what I was trying to get across. Indonesians, Filipinos and Cambodians can also have the epicanthal folds in their eyes. It's not rare...

I was being simplistic to get to the point... that epicanthic fold doesn't mean "normal", "double-lidded "eyes.. That was the jist of "It means slanty eyes."
