I noticed something someone posted about Ethiopians, that they are wanna-be whites. To be honest I have noticed this. Although Ethiopians vehemently maintain that they are the best race in the world (trust me they dont make it obvious but they seem to think this), they seem to be jealous of white people, not in terms of culture etc, but in physical appearance. Any half (ghumash) habesha (as in half WHITE - keles - my old username) is adored by its family members and is revered almost. however if the child is half bantu (as one of my cousins is), they aren't shown as much attention and sometimes is even looked dissaprovingly on. This is one aspect of Ethiopian behaviour i will never understand!! The 'we are the best but we still want to look as euro as poss' mentality. Its similar behaviour to other races that are isolated although related to a greater mainland populace, eg. Japan, Britain. Although it is more noticeable in Japanese culture, where eurasian looks are the ideal, and mixing with even chinese or korean is looked down upon. ***NOTE i know this isnt true of 100% of all ethiopians before any secret Ethiopians in this forum try to bash me!!!!!
